JOHN LEIDY speaks to the NC Association of Community College Trustees
John Leidy recently made a presentation for the North Carolina Association of Community College Trustees at their annual law conference in Raleigh. Mr. Leidy presented on open meetings laws and public records issues. The presentation focused on when a public body can enter a closed session, what actions it may take while in closed session, the requirement to maintain minutes and a general account of a closed session, and the circumstances under which the minutes and general account can be kept under seal. Mr. Leidy is a charter member and former President of the North Carolina Association of Community College Attorneys, and represents the College of the Albemarle as well as several local Boards of Education.
