We are Pleased to Announce that William P. Norrell has Joined the Firm
On October 10, 2017, Attorney Will Norrell, an Elizabeth City native, was sworn in as a member of the North Carolina State Bar. Mr. Norrell first joined Hornthal, Riley, Ellis and Maland, LLP in 2016, as a summer law clerk before his third year of law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Prior to entering law school, Mr. Norrell graduated from the College of the Albemarle. While at COA he was a member of the baseball team and was able to obtain a North Carolina Real Estate License. Mr. Norrell completed his undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2014. He was a member of the UNC baseball program, serving as a bullpen catcher and student manager.
During law school, Mr. Norrell received the William R. Kenan, Jr. Merit Scholarship and the J. Russell Kirby Public Service Scholarship. He was also named 1L Pro Bono Student of the Year following his first year of law school.
As an associate attorney for Hornthal, Riley, Ellis and Maland, LLP Mr. Norrell will practice primarily out of the Firm’s Elizabeth City office, focusing on Real Estate, Business, Estate Planning, Education, and Local Government/Municipal law.
