Hornthal, Riley, Ellis & Maland, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Bryan M. Douglas. On July 3, 2019, Bryan M. Douglas joined the firm as an associate attorney. Bryan became a member of The North Carolina State Bar in 2008 and The Florida Bar in 2009. Before joining the firm, Bryan was an Administrative Judge with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Bryan is also a veteran having served in the U.S. Army where he twice deployed to Bosnia. Bryan is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida and Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
As an attorney for Hornthal, Riley, Ellis & Maland, LLP, Bryan will practice primarily out of the firm’s Elizabeth City office. His practice will focus on general litigation, employment law, federal and private sector employment discrimination, and insurance and business litigation. Bryan’s wife, the former Kristen Durren, is a native of Elizabeth City. With their seven year old son, Elliott, Bryan and Kristen are excited to be back in Elizabeth City.
