Marshall H. Ellis has been appointed to the Commission on Indigent Defense Services

We are pleased to announce that one of our partners, Marshall H. Ellis, has been appointed to the Commission on Indigent Defense Services by the Hon. Tim Moore, Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives. The Commission consists of 13 members and oversees the Office of Indigent Defense Services (IDS) in the provision of legal services to indigent defendants in the State of North Carolina. It plays an integral role in making sure the legal defense community has the proper training, education, and support needed to defend clients that may not be able to afford representation. We appreciate Marshall volunteering his time to serve the State of North Carolina, and its citizens as a member of the IDS Commission.
