About
Zach graduated magna cum laude from Elon University School of Law in 2023, where he served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Elon Law Review. In 2021, Zach graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Zach previously interned for United States Magistrate Judge David S. Cayer (ret.) on the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, Judge Jeffrey K. Carpenter on the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and Judge Michael L. Robinson on the North Carolina Business Court.
Zach will primarily practice out of Hornthal, Riley, Ellis & Maland’s Elizabeth City office located at 301 East Main Street. Zach’s practice will focus on general civil litigation, personal injury, employment law, and local government representation. A native of Camden County, Zach is excited to serve the citizens of Northeastern North Carolina.
